Parent Consent and Children’s Privacy Notice
Version 2026-07-11 · Effective July 11, 2026
How parent-managed kid profiles, child data, consent, and deletion rights should work in Maggie Home.
Parent-managed profiles
Maggie Home kid profiles are designed to be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Kid profiles help families assign chores, routines, rewards, dashboard views, and reminders without requiring children to create independent accounts.
Parent or guardian consent
By creating a kid profile or adding child-related information, the household owner or admin confirms they are the parent or legal guardian, or have permission from the parent or legal guardian, to provide that information and manage the profile.
If future production features allow children under 13 to enter personal information directly, Maggie Home should collect verifiable parental consent before that collection occurs and provide direct notice to parents as required by applicable law.
Child information that may be stored
Depending on household settings, Maggie Home may store a child’s display name, profile photo or avatar, role, profile color, chores, reward amounts, routines, calendar associations, notes entered by adults, voice-command context, and dashboard preferences.
Maggie Home should avoid collecting unnecessary child email addresses, precise location, school records, sensitive health information, biometric identifiers, or direct child contact information unless the production privacy program has been reviewed for that use.
Parent rights
Parents and legal guardians should be able to review, correct, delete, or export child profile information. A parent may also request that Maggie Home stop further collection or use of the child’s personal information, subject to legal, billing, security, or fraud-prevention retention needs.
Safety limits
Maggie Home is an organization tool, not a child-monitoring, emergency, medical, legal, therapy, or safety service. It should not be used as the sole way to supervise a child, manage medications, respond to emergencies, or protect a child from harm.
